If I went on Mastermind, Disney would have to be my specialist subject.  Even as I ebb towards 50, the magic is definitely not wasted on me.  As a seasoned traveller to Florida, I find the more organised you are, the better experience you will have.  I have 10 top tips which will help you get the very best experience out of you Orlando trip.

  1. Do an itinerary.  Knowing what park you will be in on a certain day will allow you to plan dining arrangements, Fast Passes and even plan your outfits! (Yes, this is a thing – Look up Disney Bounding).

  2. Wear comfortable footwear.  Don’t be tempted to save your new shoes for your holiday.  Get then bedded it, you will average 10 miles a day so you need to be comfortable.

  3. It rains about 365 days a year in Florida so expect an afternoon shower or 2 and pack a poncho.

  4. Wear loose, breathable clothes.  A lot of people wear gym clothing as it’s quick drying and cool.

  5. There are so many different accommodation options in Orlando, be it Villa, Disney hotel or the bustle of International drive.  Make sure you speak to an expert who will match the best option to suit your needs.

  6. Do I need a car? Again, this will depend where you stay.  We can advise you of the best places to stay if it’s not something you fancy doing.  It doesn’t have to be a necessity.

  7. Are my kids too young? Never!  There is something for every age, rides for all heights.  The younger they are, the best experience YOU will have, seeing it all through the eyes of a child… pure Magic!  Memories you will always treasure.  And don’t think you are too old.  I enjoy it more every time I go.  My next trip will be with my grandchildren.

  8. Buy your tickets before you go.  It’s not like it used to be where you can buy them cheap out there.  Be organised and have that peace of mind knowing your holiday is all booked (and protected).

  9. “I’ll only go once,” you say. Good luck with that!  It’s the best place on earth.  You can go time after time and still find something new to do.  If my husband would let me, I’d go every year!

  10. This really is a special holiday.  If you get it right you will have the most magical experience.  A little planning and good advice from us will save you time, money and hassle.

I could go on, once we get started on Orlando in the shop its difficult to get out without booking!  2021 see’s Magic Kingdom celebrate its 50th Birthday year so lots of celebrations to look forward to and also lots of new rides expected to open soon.

As this blog is posted, things are being done a little differently over there and we have all the up to date information needed to make the most of your 2021/2022 trip.
