Our Visit To Disneyland Paris!

Last week one of our Managing Directors, Julia, visited Disneyland Paris with her daughter Eleanor! Here’s a little write up as to how it went and details of their trip for any of you thinking about booking or already looking forward to a trip to DLP!

“Well, where to start?! We are both seasoned Disney Adults however we haven’t visited DLP together before so we were super excited but not really knowing what to expect. We flew to Orly Airport was only slightly over an hour long! This coupled with seeing the Eiffel Tower as we made our descent teed us up for the magic that was to come. 🤩

Once we’d got our luggage (which took all of 10 minutes) we headed to arrivals to find our taxi driver waiting for us. The taxi journey was also quicker than expected lasting just 40 minutes, give or take! We arrived at our hotel which was Disney’s Hotel New York - Art Of Marvel. There are no words for how amazing this hotel was as an avid Marvel fan! Everything from the decor to the luxurious scent that floats through the entire building, it felt like we were in a movie!

Once we’d checked in and had our bags dropped off in our super cool room full of loads fun little touches, we headed to the parks 2 hours before we’d expected!! Granted the weather was not ideal with a constant grey drizzle, but that’s to be expected in February! And to be honest, it made no difference to us. We were so happy and excited it really didn’t matter!

We had a 2 night stay so made the most of our time in the parks. We managed to get on all the rides we wanted to, even got on some twice! As well as see the AMAZING Million Splashes of Colour parade multiple times, and we got to eat at the Plaza Gardens for a buffet dinner that did NOT disappoint! Eeyore is a firm favourite in our family so we really hit the jackpot. The food was delicious and there was a great selection for all types of eaters! Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the full Electrical Sky Parade (nighttime drone show) because of the weather, but there was still a sparkling castle with lights and stories and music!

During our stay we had breakfast at the hotel. It was buffet style and everything was super fresh and delicious! Perfect if you don’t want to be rushing to a reservation. We also headed back to the Plaza Gardens for a character breakfast which we had booked for 8:15am. If you’re staying onsite at Disney, you’re able to enter the parks at 8:30am (an hour earlier than everyone else). But because we had this reservation, we were able to go in before ANYONE else! It’s a top tip if you want to walk down a super quiet Main Street and get an uninterrupted castle pic.

All in all, we had the most AMAZING time and we are already planning to go back! We loved every single second and have made memories that will last a lifetime.

Here’s some top tips we discovered on our trip…

  • 🤩 Book an early character breakfast at the Plaza Gardens Restaurant! If you can get a reservation before 8:30, you’ll be let in the park before ANY other guests!

  • 👉🏻 Half Board is WORTH IT! We couldn’t believe what we’d saved by opting for half board.

  • ✨ Don’t be scared of the weather when going off season! It rained, like the whole time, but it made NO difference to us! We loved every second and it meant that the crowds were minimal if there were any at all, and we could ride everything at least once if not twice!

  • 👉🏻 Following on from that…wrap up! and wear comfy shoes…we walked LOADS!

  • ✨ Bistrot Chez Remy is a fantastic restaurant with an amazing atmosphere, it’s really worth the visit!

  • 👉🏻 Buy Premier Access passes on the Disneyland Paris app while you’re in the park. This means you aren’t tied to times and you can figure out what you really need them for! You can see live wait times and your pass is active immediately.

  • ✨ DO NOT miss The Lion King Show. It’s AMAZING! It’s included in the price but you can pay in advance for a ticket which gets you let in first and better seats (super central). You don’t really have to queue either with a pre-bought ticket!

  • 👉🏻 Casey’s Corner’s hotdogs on Main Street are to die for. They’re incredible and if you time it right you can sit outside with your food while the parade comes past!

  • ✨ The Disney shop just outside the park entrance is much bigger and less crowded but exactly the same quality as those on Main Street!

  • 🤩🪄✨ If you have any questions or queries, just give us a call! There’s a lot of Disney experts in our shop and we’d be happy to help!
